i imagine you're reading this because either you think you can defend your beliefs victoriously or you have doubts.. i have 2 questions that i hope you can log in and answer (no one will know who you are unless you tell them or leave your page open for others to see).
1. what actual worship did you do at the meetings or gatherings?.

Latest rumor - all WT construction "suspended", except for Warwick
by sir82 inheard 4th-hand, but from a full-on believer, so not likely to be an "apostate lie":.
apparently, at bethel's morning worship this morning, it was announced that all worldwide wts construction is "suspended" for an indefinite time, except for the new world headquarters at warwick.. also, the "relocation" of remote translating teams is also suspended.. finally, there will be a "worldwide" reduction in bethel personnel.. all this came to me in a non-english language, and,as noted, 4th-hand.
so it is possible something may have been lost in translation and/or in the multiple steps between bethel morning worship & me.. but if true, it would be quite stunning.

Brooklyn Layoffs and Halt to Kingdom Hall construction projects
by James Jack ina good source just just told me that at morning worship today that the governing body announced that a total of 1600 bethelites will be let get go and not transferred to warwich when the last property is sold in brooklyn and all kingdom hall building projects are on hold for at least a year so that all the focus will be on the preaching work.

I'm not so sure a bigger awakening is going to happen anymore
by bradford inwhen i left in march officially i started reading the forums here.
i had this excitement that more people would be leaving soon because of the crazy broadcasts, the crazy "new light" that the gb was dishing out, and more recently the australian royal commission lighting up geoffrey.
this past saturday i had an elder stop by to chat for the first time since i left.

I cannot leave because of super strong family involvement with the JWs, personal fears, etc. however, my 2 cents are in not recruiting anybody and preaching as little as possible, as well as encouraging and helping out the young to get as much education as possible.

Going Nuclear - Marriage

by this i mean, sitting them down and saying: i no longer want to be a jw anymore, do not want to go to meetings or preaching anymore!
and, what has happened in the relationship after that?.

It is just super scary.
I mean, financially I would be just fine, but I am up there in age. What if I get sick? I would lose everybody if I walked out of the Org.

Im always afraid
by BlackWolf inpeople tell me all sorts of different opinions.
i seem to feel a constant feeling of dread and anxiety.
the possibility of god existing scares me but so does the possibility of him not.

You are 16! Your feelings relate to the hormonal changes your body is going through.
Worry about doing your best in school, your house chores, your sports at school, etc.
Stuff so heavy as whether a God exists or not, spiritual crap or any other heavy subjects should not be your concerns at all!

Are the J.W's reaching a "Tipping point"?
by karter ini haven't been to a meeting in 15 years but my mother and sister are hard as j.w's.
the brothers they are appointing elders are at best suspect like one guy from my old hall made elder,big time drug used before becoming a j.w his talks are all over the place and would have struggled to make m,s years ago but with at least 60 to 70 % of young ones leaving the pool to pick from is at best reduced.. 2 other recent elders both young and zero life experience both on benefits one not well at all falls asleep all the time.. the decent,kind elders mostly older and are decent people with alot of life experience are burning out fast as there are so few of them left like 3 per congro of 100 publishers.. then you have the rich elders who wouldn't ever think of inviting some poor older or mis-fit person out to the expensive placers they go to as they couldn't afford to go so they are above the r&f and the r&f get pissed off with them.
then we have the ones who have "put the kingdom 1st" who are now old worn out and barely getting by from welfare cheque to welfare cheque that are saying "the system should have been over many years ago" it's still here and they are struggling everyday.. then there are the pioneers who have a low payed reduced hour job that seem to think anyone who has anything is totally materialistic and looks down on anyone getting a new car buying a house ect.. along with the child abuse issues,the generation change,access to information the the g.b don't want anyone to know ,not to mention the issues around blood.. is there a tipping point coming????

Young ones leaving in droves, thousands of JWs like myself that learned TTATT and are there in pure name only, lots of old ones dying off.
Definitely an 'evolving' point for this organization.

I am scared as hell, but I cannot stand the double life much longer. It gets tougher and tougher as time goes on to fake it all. The meetings and field service kill me!
